The Senior Benefits Analyst will be part of the Global Benefits Team reporting into the Director of Global Benefits, managing the day-to-day operations and administration at HERE Technologies including all health and welfare plans in the US and Canada.  Scope could also include global responsibilities depending on the candidate.

  • Manage the day-to-day benefits operations in the US and Canada ensuring all programs are compliant
  • Demonstrate experience with Defined Contribution Retirement Plans (401k, DPSP etc)
  • Working knowledge of the role and application of the fiduciary committees
  • Knowledge and experience rolling out benefits policies
  • Deep understanding of ERISA, DOL, and IRS regulations
  • Experience running ACA reporting and staying current with the US legislative environment
  • Improving and streamlining current processes with vendors and other key stakeholders
  • Working with the payroll team to trouble-shoot and improve current processes and help in developing interfaces
  • Manage all vendor relationships for US and Canada including the broker relationships
  • Manage implementation of any plan changes, including preparation and review of communications
  • Manage and improve the wellness program working closely with the vendor and broker
  • Resolve benefit cases quickly and efficiently, determining and proposing better ways to close cases
  • Participate in annual open enrollment planning and communications partnering very closely with the internal communications team
  • Advises colleagues regarding the Leave of Absence processes and administers the coordinating programs to include FMLA, short-term disability, state-disability programs and insurance payments
  • Help improve and streamline current Leave of Absence process
  • Back-up to the benefits specialist when necessary
  • Respond to escalated inquiries quickly and efficiently
  • Monitor our yammer site for any benefit related issues and resolve quickly



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5-7 years related benefits experience
  • Proactive team member with strong customer service orientation, excellent attention to detail and follow through. Ability to handle confidential colleague information with discretion and exercise good judgment.
  • Strong working knowledge of current benefit practices and trends.
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or other relevant professional certification a plus
  • Well-organized individual with good time management and project management skills to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
