The VP, Business Solutions will play a pivotal role within the IoT business group globally. The aim for the IoT Business group is to be the location partner of choice in the world of IoT, to establish new businesses and to contribute diverse data sources to our Open Location Platform (OLP).

The individual should lead by example, must be great at problem solving, ideation and architecture discussions, and must be capable of building competencies around specific skill set in the team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Take a primary role in generating long-term growth by driving early stage GTM for new product lines and new market segments
  • Identify at an early stage with Product Management and Leadership the value proposition/exchange and monetisation
  • Provide thought leadership and direction to the IoT business solutions teams spread across the regions
  • Drive the acquisition and growth of key customer accounts and expansion into emerging markets
  • Lead the proof-of-concepts and make a profound contribution to the assessment of business cases regarding addressable markets, GTM, monetization etc..
  • Lead the division's organization and operational plans to ensure that strategic and tactical plans are aligned with the IoT mission and revenue targets
  • Direct the development, execution and implementation of overall business plans for the organization
  • Drive customer acquisition and revenue generation by managing and coordinating the business development force
  • Direct regional business solutions leaders in managing their processes, determining account strategies, interfacing with their teams and presenting business solutions to achieve revenue objectives
  • Establish customer-specific strategic plans that achieve successful product penetration
  • Create a working environment based on the HERE core values
  • Work collaboratively across team boundaries to share common infrastructure and functional capabilities
  • Communicates key information required for the internal organization to support the IoT business group in keeping and growing the business both short and long term and coordinate the handover to Sales in phase 3 of the GTM-process.
  • Provide feedback into core product teams to influence their roadmap and strategy
  • Consult on a regular basis with IoT LT to align expectations and deliverables

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
  • 15 years of relevant Business Development experience in related industries/Tech-companies
  • Strong understanding of software, platform, cloud, connectivity and technology in the widest sense
  • Extensive experience in leadership and organizational management at organizations of considerable size and scope; multinational experience preferred
  • Ability to penetrate both existing and new markets with new products and services and build an organization to keep pace with market growth and disruptive technologies, GTM and business models.
  • Ability to manage key financial measures with an emphasis on accurate forecasting and budgeting.
  • Ability to recognize emerging competitor strategies and develop counter-strategies that maintains or upgrade HERE's market position.
  • Significant market experience in one or more of our core markets of interest (IoT, Cities, Mobility, Tracking)
  • Proven ability to interface, influence and manage with all levels of organization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Additional languages a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to think creatively and elicit results from others
