The EMEA Regional Benefits Manager will report into the Director of Global Benefits supporting the analysis, implementation, communications and administration of competitive benefits programs that align with the business strategy, goals and objectives of Here Technologies. On a regional basis, this role will provide subject matter expertise to local HR and the Here Technologies administrative delivery model, manage providers, brokers and consultants.  They will also be the point-person regarding benefits information for the applicable works’ counsels and trade unions.   At times, this person may be asked to assist the compensation team within the EMEA regions, therefore, compensation experience is a plus for this position.

  • Drive contract negotiations while partnering with the appropriate benefit plan providers, vendors, plan administrators, and consultants relating to premiums and services
  • Make recommendations for benefit plan changes according to local benchmarks while ensuring compliance with country legislation
  • Work closely with the Global Benefits Team in benefit plan design and implementation
  • Administer (or provide guidance) for all health, risk, retirement, and benefit policies for each country and in accordance to employment rights that would include:

- Fully or self-insured health (medical, dental, vision), life/death/accident insurance, flexible benefits, car programs, retirement (DB and DC Plans) and disability
- Oversight of leave programs and all other benefits policies

  • Prepare and communicate information to employees and all stakeholders about benefit programs and procedures changes and government-mandated disclosures surrounding policies and enrollment processes
  • Compile benefits-related statistics and census data, and summarize survey information to support benefits recommendation.
  • Improve and streamline current processes with vendors and other key stakeholders
  • Work with local payroll teams to trouble-shoot and improve current processes and help in developing interfaces where applicable
  • Manage all vendor relationships including the broker relationships
  • Resolve benefit cases quickly and efficiently, determining and proposing better ways to close cases
  • Respond to escalated inquiries quickly and efficiently
  • Monitor our yammer site for any benefit related issues and resolve quickly
  • Inform or consult with local HR team and country managers as needed


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5-7 years related benefits experience
  • Proactive team member with strong customer service orientation, excellent attention to detail and follow- through.
  • Ability to handle confidential colleague information with discretion and exercise good judgment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employee health, risk and benefits policies associated processes and procedures
  • Strong working knowledge of current benefit practices and trends.
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or other relevant professional certification a plus
  • Well-organized individual with good time-management and project management skills to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Working knowledge of country, federal and or/ province/state regulations affecting the administration of broad-based or statutory benefits
  • Strong negotiation, consulting, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to conduct research and participate in salary surveys to benchmark and learn industry best practices
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to build solid relationships with management, other HR teams, cross-functional internal partners and external providers and vendors
  • Experience managing vendor relationships to ensure administrative accuracy, strong plan performance, regulatory compliance and cost containment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Regional compensation experience is a plus
