About the job


The VP Strategy Strategy for HERE´s IoT business group is responsible for driving forward and ensuring the overall direction, long term planning, execution and business efficiency of IoT. The role reports into the SVP of IoT and is an integral part of the IoT leadership team.

This is a highly visible position; this person will operate as a strategic partner and key liaison to the HERE senior leadership team in all aspects of communication about the IoT group´s plans and execution status.


  • Lead a team of business planners and analysts working directly with business unit leads, product managers, finance experts, and other key internal operational stakeholders to support critical business decision-making
  • Develop business models for new products and markets in close co-operation with relevant stakeholders (product, marketing, sales, pricing)
  • Own the long-term strategy execution plan as well as long term revenue planning process for IoT. Model, analyze and implement forecasting metrics that drive revenue, reduce costs, optimize margins, and support business decisions that fully leverage the earning potential of the organization
  • Develop and monitor metrics to measure the go-to-market effectiveness of business strategy and pricing policies. Implement necessary changes as part of the annual business planning cycle
  • Manage cross-functional execution of strategies developed through extensive analysis and in collaboration with the different business units
  • Coach and mentor team members and other IoT stakeholders on strategic topics and operational “best in class” practices
  • Participate and support in strategic partner, M&A and industry analyst discussions
  • Continuously collect, analyze and consolidate pertinent internal and external data points in support of agile and sound business decision-making
  • Champion early-adoption methodologies within IoT to ensure the organization is “fit for purpose” in the face of a quickly changing market
  • Proactively develop and maintain strong networks and trust-based relationships both internal and external to HERE


  • 10-15 years´ experience including corporate strategy and planning, with proven delivery in the execution of strategic initiatives. Management Consulting background is an advantage
  • A strong IT/software career focus is preferred; cloud-based platform solutions industry experience is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to generate compelling business cases around solid data points
  • Customer focused, professional demeanor with an ability to motivate and influence others
  • Advanced modeling skills and knowledge of related software tools (Excel)
  • Flexible and agile mindset; ability to navigate grey-zones and work independently, as well as with others, to deliver results within a fast-paced business environment
  • Creative (“out of the box”) thinker in solving problems stemming from an ambiguous (market) environment
  • Sound industry reputation built around the actual delivery of results
  • Capable to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
  • Relevant University degree. MBA strongly preferred
