Our CTO team is a mix of hard core data scientists, system and platform architects, researchers, principal engineers, analysts and BI geeks. Our mission spans all platforms across Automotive, Highly Autonomous Driving (HAD) and Internet-of-Things (IoT) in combination with new and emerging technology fields like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR), Deep Neural Networks, closed-loop Machine Learning and Geo-positioning to name just a few. Our team members are technology evangelists, able to inspire inside as well as outside of HERE for the vision of the company, and are innovating key intellectual property concepts such as the Reality Index and the associated location based services that are at the foundation of the business models within the Digital century. 

 

 

 

We are looking for an experienced software program manager to manage and oversee a broad and strategic software / big data initiative led by the Office of the CTO.  This role must establish, manage, and track program objectives, deliverables, and milestones and ensure that all participants (both internal and external) are aligned to deliver on time and on budget.  Additionally, this role must work closely with senior management to ensure clarity of vision and progress. 

 

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties / vendors for program execution
  • Ensure that program is delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget
  • Develop program scope and objectives, involving and communicating with all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop and maintain a detailed program plan (schedule and budget) and track progress on an ongoing basis.
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in program scope, schedule, and costs
  • Measure program performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
  • Identify key risks and mitigation strategies
  • Ensure program organization and transparency through proper reporting, risk mitigation, escalation of issues as needed, and identifying and clearing of blockers
  • Manage partner and vendor relationships as related to delivering program objectives
  • Create and maintain comprehensive program documentation.

Qualifications

  • Communication: Excellent communicator with outstanding verbal, written, and visual skills; able to influence all layers of the organization.
  • Organization: Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented
  • Budget and Schedule Management: Skills and experience building and managing complex schedules and budgets.
  • Record of success: Demonstrable track record of successful software programs
  • Team Player: Excellent team builder and team player; attracts and inspires talent; promotes a culture of positive, energetic, and high-performing teams
  • Understands Business Drivers, Context and Key Issues: Has a deep holistic understanding of business drivers, sees actions within the context of Business Unit or Enterprise.  Able to execute with minimal direction.
  • Education and Experience: Masters’ degree in related field, plus 10 or more years relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 10+ years of experience in software project and program management
  • Willing to travel: Occasional domestic and international travel required
