We are looking for an Account Executive who will be responsible for working closely with the HERE executive sales and business development team to win new business in the advertising marketplace and establish strategic relationships with leading brands in the ad:tech sector. We are seeking motivated, career driven individuals with strong communications skills and an entrepreneurial spirit who will thrive in our environment.

 

HERE is seeking to supplement the Bay Area business development and sales team with an energetic, enthusiastic, self-starter. You will engage with the leading data management, ad:tech platforms and media buying and selling Bay Area executives. You will be tasked to explore technology partnership and sales opportunities for the HERE suite of products and services.

 

The candidate is expected to have prior sales and quota-bearing experience in the space of advertising, data and / or technology sales, with an interest in developing expertise in geospatial technologies and services.

 

The idea candidate is seeking an entrepreneurial role in a larger, established company and is a “hunter’ rather than an account “farmer”. The candidate has a high tolerance for risk and ambiguity and enjoys working proactively, autonomously and with a “can do” attitude.

 

 

Responsibilities

The main objectives of this role are:

  1. Win new business for HERE products and services; expand the client roster; generate new revenue from existing products and services
  2. Support and further the company expansion in the advertising space through access to your network in this market
  3. Network at industry events to build brand recognition and develop a pipeline of opportunities to close
  4. Continue to represent HERE as a thought leader in the market
  5. Be an inspiration to your network contacts and seed conversations with potential additional team members

The HERE Advertising Team at HERE is a cross-functional, fast acting, entrepreneurship driven and oriented team. It is a fun team to work with. We are innovating internally and externally.

 

  • Achieve aggressive customer base expansion and annual revenue generation goals
  • Research/generate new client leads.
  • Setup up meetings with potential clients.
  • Increase client base through business development
  • Represent HERE are conference and corporate events
  • Research and understand the market needs and dynamics pertaining to the geospatial segment
  • Remain knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and all aspects of the - company's market.
  • Travel to client offices to conduct new business meetings (occasional travel to Chicago and San Francisco is expected)
  • Secure commercial contracts and work cross functionally with the legal, product and licensing departments at HERE

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience working in a business development and sales environment
  • Knowledge and experience in the advertising marketplace, whether on the Buy or Sell side
  • Knowledge of business models, pricing models and industry trends thereof
  • Understanding of the programmatic space
  • A professional network in the advertising space
  • Attention to detail is very important
  • Reliable
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication
  • Cold calling experience
