For our Eindhoven office, we are looking for a Production Quality Manager. This position plays a key role in executing Quality and Continuous Improvement Strategy at Production centers, region or across global production. In this role you are responsible for supervising between approximately 4 and 15 colleagues. This position is under the general direction of the Head of Quality and Continuous Improvement in Global Production Operations and directly interacting with the Director of Production center.

 

This position will coordinate and lead strategic planning of Quality Control processes for new programs in Production, create and stabilize built in Quality processes, lead initiatives focused on optimization of the organization for maximum effectiveness and utilize Customer feedback mechanism to drive higher levels of customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for defining and implementing various quality assurance, quality control and quality system requirements throughout operations.  Quality systems includes but is not limited to implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 and ASPICE requirements; audit compliance and non-conformance resolution; problem resolution strategies and prevention, continuous improvement activities. 

 

And last but certainly not least, this role is responsible for defining and implementing scorecard and data tracking systems, data analysis and corrective actions, systemic issue resolution and defines and leads special projects aimed at improving quality while lowering Total Cost of Quality. Production Six Sigma and LEAN implementation activities will be led or coordinated by this role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Lean schematic design across sites in Global Production Centers
  • Lead Quality and Continuous Improvement support to PDP (Product Development and Production) groups in GPO
  • Create and stabilize built in, automated quality processes, leading Quality Control Processes design ad’hoc for new programs
  • Provide leadership to quality specialists, engineers and team leads
  • Lead ICE problem resolution process for production
  • Works with Head of Quality in production to set quality related objectives
  • Interface with all project teams to ensure quality processes are effective ensuring quality objectives are met
  • Defines and implements all problem resolution strategies (e.g. 8-D problem resolution process)
  • Defines and manages internal and external audit requirements
  • Interfaces with other quality organizations (IoT, Platform, RMC, GPM, etc.) to coordinate quality objectives and activities
  • Support analysis of all quality data in order to drive measurable systemic improvement
  • Defines and implements quality strategies to lower Total Cost of Quality
  • Drives the appropriate Quality Culture for the production organization    

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (degree in engineering, Geography or Geosciences preferred)
  • MBA preferred
  • Minimum 8 to 12 years of relevant experience required
  • 6 years management/leadership experience required
  • Experience on desing and implementation o Quality Management Systems  (ISO 9001 lead auditor certification required & ASPICE knowledge desired) 
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certified
  • CQM (Certified Quality Manager) desired
  • Experience and certification in LEAN principles and techniques (i.e. 5s, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping)
  • Project Management Experience (PMP certification) desirable
  • Proven understanding of technology and work process flows
  • Strong analytical and problem solving (e.g. 8-D) skills required
  • Strong team leadership, organizational and management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Good all-round computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of statistical methods as applied to Quality principles, Minitab knowledge desired
  • Ability to interact with a large number of people at variety of levels within and outside of the reporting structure
  • Work closely with senior leadership and participate in key business decisions around project/program activities
  • Lead and form alignment with quality activities across different Production centers
  • Financial capabilities sufficient to establish Cost of Quality metrics and work with financial analysts on improvement strategies
  • Travel as required
