The Role


This role will perform evaluation, development, deployment, and support of increasingly sophisticated automated services management systems. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of a Development Manager with a mission to rapidly and continuously improve HERE’s capability to deploy mobile and web-based consumer and platform services. This role will be the primary resource responsible for maintaining the Atlassian suite: Jira, Confluence, Greenhopper, Structure, and supporting tools.

To succeed in this role, the potential candidate will need a solid background and success in developing tools with dynamic and scripting languages and a sense of customer centered support. This role requires someone who loves to instrument systems and extract every bit of available data for performance optimization and debugging.




  • Bachelors or higher in a relevant discipline
  • 2+ years of experience working with JIRA, including extensive Jira administration and customization using scripts and plugins
  • Hands on experience working with Atlassian tools including Jira, Confluence, Greenhopper, Bamboo, Fisheye etc.
  • Hands on experience installing, configuring, performance tuning, and maintaining  Enterprise Jira instances
  • Ability to provide support in researching and evaluating technology, products, and solutions.
  • 2+ years of success in development of commercial or open source service management tools in Linux Internet Hosted Operations Environments.
  • Thorough understanding of tool building/development in Internet Services and Systems Operations environments
  • 2+ years working with SDLC methodologies
  • High level of ability to understand and communicate technical knowledge in a team environment
  • Occasional travel (less than 25%)
