In this position, the Senior Systems Engineers is responsible for managing HERE’s Office 365 environment and related IT applications. The ideal candidate must have a highly technical background operating 24x7x364 enterprise IT platforms. A track record of delivering highly reliable and robust enterprise communications and collaboration solutions is a must.



Key Responsibilities


  • Operation, configuration and monitoring of Office 365 environment including license and feature managment.
  • Exchange email administration including customization and troubleshooting
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
  • Support federated authentication via ADFS and/or Azure AD
  • Work as part of the IT operations team to design, deploy and support applications running in a 24x7x365 environment
  • Manage production and non-production environments including installation, configuration, backup/recovery, monitoring and incident responseDevelop and maintain scripts to automate routine and repetitive tasks.
  • Respond to customer requests and escalations from the Service Desk for engineering support.
  • Maintain documentation for all supported systems and applications.
  • Adhere to Indicent and Change Management procedures for all supported systems.
  • Participate in strategic IT projects.
  • Monitor productions systems, respond to and troubleshoot incidents.
  • Participate in on-call rotation.
  • Builds positive working relationships across departments and peers.
  • Stay informed of the latest technologies and best practices and make suggestions when these may improve our applications/processes.



Required Skills

  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Exchange
  • Expert level Active Directory skills including Azure AD connect
  • Expert level Microsoft Server skills
  • Expert level knowledge of Office 365 platform
  • Working knowledge of Sharepoint
  • Working knowledge of SAML, OAuth and OpenID Connect
  • Strong understanding of email fundamentals including DNS (MX and SPF), email filtering and message trace tools
  • Strong competency writing script with Powershell, Python, Perl or other languages
  • Strong analytical and customer service skills with a strong problem solving background
  • Strong organizational skills

Required Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Computing Science or equivalent
  • 8+ years experience working in an enterprise IT organization
  • 5+ years Microsoft Cloud platform experience
  • Experience with Microsoft O365 and Azure administration
  • Experience in support of end-user desktop applications and troubleshooting
  • Strong background in three or more of the following technologies:
  • Operating Systems: CentOS, Red Hat Linux, Oracle Enterprise Linux
      • Cloud Computing/Virtualization: AWS, Azure, VMWare
    • Storage :  Network storage (NAS, SAN & Virtualized)
    • Monitoring Tools: Nagios, SCOM
    • Security : Encryption; Network security; Network topology;
    • Protocols: HTTP, SSL/TLS, RTP&RTSP, TCP, UDP, IP inc. v6, DNS, CIFS, REST, Peer-to-Peer Networking, Edge Computing
