We are looking for a Webstore operations Manager, located in Chicago USA, to be responsible for the overall operations of our e-commerce properties.

 

The Channel eCommerce team support all online activities related to the distribution of automotive map updates and manages various projects and services for major automotive customers, on a global scale.

 

The Webstore Operations Manager will be responsible for the administration of the webstores and web solutions.

 

Responsibilities

The role requires a high interest in eCommerce CMS, Project management, process and methodology, and must be able to understand and answer business requests to prioritize them accordingly.

Working on a portfolio of more than 35 web stores in all regions, the candidate will lead a series of initiatives aiming at ensuring that the web stores are always up‐to‐date and perform at their best.

On top of the day to day administration of the webstores, the Webstore Operations Manager will also be in charge of the following:

  • Prioritization of change requests and development requests
  • Management of 3 contractors dedicated to content updates based off-shore
  • Management of outside agencies (localization, design, development, …)
  • Development of new content pages in multiple languages
  • Management of the online product catalog
  • Supporting online campaigns by setting up the relevant promotions
  • Process design and optimization to increase operations efficiencies
  • Ecommerce platform migration (content migration piece)
  • CI Design updates
  • Consultancy on web content and back office topics for new projects

Qualifications

This position involves frequent interactions with the development team based in the United States as well as local Channel Marketing teams, Customer Program Management, Sales, Product Release management and Aftersales services (Contact center, logistics)  . The Channel eCommerce  Manager would hence be able to not only advise on marketing topics but also understand and contribute to technical discussions.

  • 2‐4 years Web content management experience in an E‐commerce environment and educated to Bachelors/Masters degree or equivalent, ideally in Business/Marketing/Web
  • Experience of an E‐commerce Content Management System is essential. Knowledge of Intershop and Drupal 8 is a bonus.
  • Experience of web maintenance processes and project methodology (PERT, Gantt)
  • Ability in planning, managing, executing and tracking web projects
  • Knowledge of ticketing systems such as JIRA and associated tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills (can‐do approach)
  • Experience of managing agency and external service providers such as translation agencies or external resources
  • Excellent knowledge of MS‐Office, HTML and CSS
  • Fluent in English is essential. French and German are considered as an advantage
