This position is responsible for managing Quality and Continuous Improvement Strategy at a High Volume Production Center.  This role is responsible for supervising between approximately four and 15 people. This position is under the general direction of the Head of Quality and Continuous Improvement in Global Production Operations and directly interacting with the Director of Production center.


  • Provide daily leadership to quality specialists, engineers and team leads
  • Lead the ICE (customer complaints) problem resolution process for Production
  • Works with head of Quality at Global Production Operations to set all quality objectives
  • Interface with all project teams to ensure quality control processes are effective ensuring quality objectives are met
  • Defines and implements all problem resolution strategies (e.g. 8-D problem resolution process)
  • Defines and manages internal and external audit requirements
  • Interfaces with other quality organizations (Corporate Quality, Product Management, RMC, etc.) to coordinate quality strategies and activities
  • Support analysis of all quality data in order to drive measurable systemic improvement
  • Defines and implements quality strategies to lower Total Cost of Quality
  • Drives the appropriate Quality Culture for the production organization   


  • Bachelors degree (degree in Industrial Engineering preferred)
  • MBA desirable
  • Minimum six to nine years of relevant experience required
  • Four years management/leadership experience required
  • Knowledgable of Quality Management Systems and processes (ISO 9001, audit certification desired)
  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification desired
  • Certified Manager of Quality/organizational Excellence desired
  • Experience and certification in LEAN principles desired
  • Project Management Experience (PMP certification) desirable
  • Proven understanding of technology and work process flows
  • Strong analytical and problem solving (e.g. 8-D) skills required
  • Strong team leadership, organizational and management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Good all-round computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of statistical methods as applied to Quality principles
  • Ability to interact with a large number of people at variety of levels within and outside of the reporting structure
  • Financial capabilities sufficient to establish Cost of Quality metrics and work with financial analysts on improvement strategies
