The HERE Global Product Manager is responsible for leading the product strategy, vision and roadmap for the Visuals product/portfolio within the broader Global Core Map/Content portfolio. The PM has full accountability for the overall performance of the product portfolio through lifecycle management, investment, and ensuring the portfolio meets current and future customer requirements.  The role supports the voice of the customer to internal development and delivery teams, and is the voice of the product to the market and customers. The role develops and executes Go-To Market Strategies that in turn drive key business and product strategies.  The PM develops insights and trends on market opportunities, couples them with a deep understanding of HERE’s holistic business and the competitive landscape, to drive successful business implementation across all verticals.

 

The role closely interacts with internal teams such as Regional Product Management, Licensing, Finance, Legal, TCS, Sales, Comms, Central & Business Unit marketing functions.

Responsibilities

  • Product Lifecycle Management (PDLC) for the Visuals Product Portfolio at Global scale, from cradle to grave.
  • Identify and prioritize new market opportunities, including creating business and marketing cases to support portfolio investments.
  • Build strong relationships with key lead customers and determine market requirements to enable influencing of RFQs
  • Drive new Products or features from inception to release, influencing a cross-functional team of engineering, licensing, design, and product marketing to define and build amazing products.
  • Develop a cohesive Product vision, considering market trends and opportunities, major customer needs, gaps in the current market offerings, as well as current and future competitive landscape.
  • Manage the entire Product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, and communicate strategy and priorities to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop required material to secure funding, executive support, and active involvement from internal partners.
  • Participate actively in Go-to-Market Planning, collaborating with business groups to define and support effective strategies and messaging for driving customer adoption.
  • Work with Competitive Team to perform competitive analyses.
  • Work closely with Business Planning and Business Affairs to build detailed business cases for Product evolution and revolution.
  • Work closely with Product Marketing to build materials for communication to Sales, customers and the consumer market.
  • Support internal Product development, lifecycle management processes as necessary (e.g. Product Checklist)
  • Drive internal and external evangelism of current and future Product capabilities
  • Follow market developments and ensure competitiveness and differentiation

Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in computer science or engineering background strongly preferred; MBA a plus
  • Significant (8+ years) work experience in Product Management or a related field (Program Management, Product Marketing), with a proven track-record of delivering products and services
  • Strong product management skills, and a demonstrated ability to lead in the face of complex technical challenges. 
  • Excellent oral and written Communication skills, coupled with the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.  
  • Ability to reduce complex problems and requirements into implementable solutions
  • Ability to lead in ambiguous/dynamic situations, and communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner.
  • Superb planning and prioritization skills, ability to drive and maintain focus
  • Must be able to work within a complex, matrixed environment, and have a proven ability to influence and drive decisions through “dotted line” relationships.
  • Solid knowledge of Financial / Business Modelling
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools, including PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Travel - Must be able to travel (~10%) and on short notice.
