You are embedded in an exciting, newly formed, highly motivated organization that is an integral pillar of our map building strategy. As Data Acquisition & Community Engagement Lead (m/f) your role will be to lead sourcing activities for a variety of map content categories that are key for our future products. You will pursue the establishment of key private and governmental relationships across several markets in the region that will help fulfil our strategic objectives for location-data requirements. You will also manage Expert Community Programs that are crucial to our map creation strategy. Furthermore, you will manage Developer Community programs aimed at attracting developers’ contribution to our location based platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a broad understanding of the data market, supplier segmentation, and community segments as well as government dynamics to include identification and development of relationships with the key decision-makers in the region.
  • The creation of sourcing plans based on organizational strategy and map requirements/gaps.
  • Execute sourcing strategy by selecting optimal mix of suppliers (e.g. priority setting, business value, trade-off decisions, etc.) to meet regional goals and meet scope, budget, timeframe and quality requirements.
  • Negotiate commercial and legal terms of the required supplier agreements.
  • Execute all required contracts and purchase orders and manage the administrative tasks related to supplier management.
  • Execute the community strategy by selecting an optimal mix of communities  to meet regional goals and meet required scope, budget, timeframe and quality requirements.
  • Ensure proper incentive programs to keep targeted communities engaged (manage / increase active users and business value of community input).
  • Identify market trends and provide feedback on potential opportunities and threats to leadership and Product Management.
  • Build relevant cross-departmental and cross-functional relationships (e.g. Legal, etc.)

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing or similar
  • 5+ years of proven and relevant work experience
  • Experience with supplier or customer relationship management, business development, and ability to build, sustain and leverage effective networking relationships
  • Experience with marketing activities and tools
  • Developer communities’ engagement is an advantage
  • Experience in events management and digital marketing
  • Strong organizational, planning and project management skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), presentation, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Analytical capability to assess the performance of suppliers against criteria such as quality, cost, reliability, and ability to innovate
  • Familiarity with Sourcing and Vendor Management software preferred
  • Knowledge and/or understanding of Maps and Location-Based services is a plus
  • Fluent in Arabic and English, other languages (e.g. French) an advantage
  • Travel requirements up to 20%-30%
