The HERE Platform Services Product Manager (Urban Mobility) is responsible for leading the product strategy, vision and roadmap for the location services focusing on improving mobility of people in urban areas. This includes public transit routing, multimodal routing and intermodal trip planning which utilizes private car and/or variety of open transportations services (taxi, car sharing, on demand mobility services etc.). The PM has full accountability for the overall performance of the services through lifecycle management, investment, and ensuring the portfolio meets current and future customer requirements.  The role represents the voice of the customer to internal development and delivery teams, and is the voice of the product to the market and customers. The role develops and executes Go-To Market Strategies that in turn drive key business and product strategies.  The PM develops insights and trends on market opportunities, couples them with a deep understanding of HERE’s holistic business and the competitive landscape, to drive successful business implementation across all verticals.


The role closely interacts with internal teams such as Research&Development, Regional Map Content, Finance, Legal, Customer Support, Sales, Comms, Marketing.


  • Manage portfolio of Urban Mobility products including Public Transit route planning engine, content acquisition pipelines and intermodal routing services.
  • Build product vision and strategy for Urban Mobility products, expand their footprint in smart cities and in connected vehicles.
  • Identify and prioritize new market opportunities, including creating business and marketing cases to support portfolio investments.
  • Build strong relationships with customers to determine market requirements and identify new innovative opportunities for service utilization.
  • Drive new Products or features from inception to release, influencing a cross-functional team of engineering, licensing, design, and product marketing.
  • Develop a cohesive Product vision, considering market trends and opportunities, major customer needs, gaps in the current market offerings, as well as current and future competitive landscape.
  • Manage the entire Product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, and communicate strategy and priorities to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop required material to secure funding, executive support, and active involvement from internal partners.
  • Participate actively in Go-to-Market Planning, collaborating with business groups to define and support effective strategies and messaging for driving customer adoption.
  • Work with map data content acquisition to ensure global coverage of Urban Mobility services.
  • Work with Competitive Team to perform competitive analyses, Business Planning and Product Marketing.
  • Support internal Product development, lifecycle management processes.
  • Drive internal and external evangelism of current and future Product capabilities.
  • Follow market developments and ensure competitiveness and differentiation.


  • Work experience (4+ years) in Product Management or a related field (Program Management, Product Marketing), with a proven track-record of delivering products and services
  • Strong product management skills, and a demonstrated ability to lead in the face of complex technical challenges
  • Excellent oral and written Communication skills, coupled with the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships
  • Ability to understand technical problems in field of software and geo-informatics and being able to analyse them with engineers
  • Ability to reduce complex problems and requirements into implementable solutions
  • Ability to lead in ambiguous/dynamic situations, and communicate complex ideas in a crisp manner
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills
  • Travel - Must be able to travel (~10%)
