HERE Technologies is searching for a Senior Marketing Manager, based in Berkeley, CA, who builds and leads our new Platform, Developer & Maps Marketing team. You should be data-driven, passionate and excited about growing a developer community for a location platform company that is ushering in a new technology enabled future and changing the way everything and everyone lives, moves and interacts. In this role, you’ll create scalable campaigns to drive growth in adoption of HERE tools and APIs that yield meaningful business outcomes for our developers, increase the number of developers building on our Open Location Platform, several product suites and map data. Furthermore, you will increase loyalty and love of the HERE brand within developer communities. This is a key new role within HERE’s Marketing organization, reporting to the Director Marketing Activation based in Berlin.


- Building a global engagement strategy for developers that is aligned with the goals of the HERE sales and business group teams (e.g. Platform, Developer Relations and Core Maps BGs)
- Turn input provided from key stakeholders into marketing programs and integrated campaigns (e.g. events, email, search marketing, paid social, content marketing, etc.)
- Lead planning, implementation and optimization of developer acquisition and engagement campaigns
- Establish programs that encourage peer-to-peer interaction within the developer community
- Together with our content teams, define a content strategy that ensures highly credible and effective messaging for the HERE tools and APIs that are used by developers
- Identify and coordinate HERE’s participation at key third-party developer conferences and events
- Identify and nurture potential partnerships with key technology partners that enable developers to be successful using the HERE Open Location Platform
- Working in close collaboration with the Content Studio and Comms teams, manage the development of a constant stream of content marketing and thought leadership material

(e.g. whitepapers, webinars, etc.) and oversee all promotional planning and coordination in support of these programs
- Create and maintain comprehensive metrics reports and advise on the effectiveness and future direction of our marketing campaigns and spending
- Manage vendors and marketing budgets required to execute against plans
- Build and lead a high-performance marketing team, based at different locations, specialized on platform growth, developer acquisition and engagement


- 5-10 years of experience in marketing technology solutions to developers and technical decision makers
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end marketing processes
- Ability to think strategically with tactical execution
- Proven ability to earn the trust and respect of engineering and product teams as a marketer
- Practical knowledge of developer tools, development paradigms and emerging disruptive technologies
- Track record of success in building engagement programs for technical audiences
- Strong project management skills, accustomed to working to a budget and within strict timelines
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences
- Experienced in multi-stakeholder management and comfortable with working in global organizations and fast paced, dynamic environments
- Experienced managing agencies and budgets and expert at writing creative briefs
- Successful track record in hiring, managing and developing people as a people manager
- Formal advanced (Masters or beyond) education in a technical field is preferred, MBA is a plus
