    What's the role?

    • The role is part of the Technical Pre-Sales department within the Automotive Business Solution organization, which is part of the Automotive business vertical.
    • This role provides support to the Sales & Business Development business vertical in the pre-sales phase through technical consultancy across HERE’s automotive product and service portfolio, and serves the Automotive product verticals as a source of customer and market demands.


    • This role exhibits a high degree of competence in the following areas: a) cultivation of technical relationship with customers, b) effective value selling, c) understanding of customer organization structure, customer business and customer product strategy and corresponding challenges, d) understanding of market segments and trends and e) process optimization across regions.
    • This role instills confidence in the SBD and AE Product Management organization with respect to understanding both the internal product needs to develop innovative and future proof products, and the sales needs for support in successfully selling to key customers and expanding HERE’s market share in the Automotive industry.
    • The role provides a sound understanding of the full array of HERE’s offerings and product life cycle mainly within the Automotive industry, but also across related industries (e.g. IT, Telecom, IoT), in order to apply best business practice and experience within the organization to meet customer needs.
    • The role applies knowledge in managing complex customer opportunities across multiple disciplines, including engineering, product management, production, suppliers, marketing and sales throughout the product value chain.


    Core skills to this role are:

    • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders to advocate HERE’s business goals in front of customers.
    • Strong selling and negotiation capabilities to achieve a preferred business scenario (e.g. win-win)
    • Excellent communication and messaging, effective interpersonal and relationship building and networking (internally and externally) for appropriate interaction across all management levels.
    • Skills allowing for autonomously gathering of customer needs, quick quick assessment of what portfolio options would match and creating a solution concept in very short time.

    Duties & Responsibilites

    This role a) provides technical product expertise for pre-sales activities to the sales force, b) promotes technical value of products and services to stakeholders at customers and c) supports HERE Automotive Product Management in gathering technical market requirements for portfolio and roadmap adoption.

    • Keep current with internal product portfolio, new industry and technology trends and maintain required skill set, expertise and effectiveness by obtaining appropriate training and applying adequate business processes and tools.
    • Regularly align with SBD strategies and key opportunities and provide matching technical consultancy and pre-Sales support.
    • Develop solution proposals for customers that are commensurate with their needs and HERE’s business goals.
    • Determine business value of customer requests and align with internal stakeholders on bid strategies and product customization plans.
    • Position and demonstrate HERE products and help translate customer requirements into new experiences, services or features
    • Proactively identify new and innovative ways to respond to new challenges and HERE business initiatives.
    • Support pre-sales activities focused on winning new business with Car Manufacturers and other Automotive supplier by qualifying opportunities, providing subject matter expertise, concepting matching product solutions and presenting those to the customer’s stakeholders.

    • Prepare and communicate key product messages to customers, prospects and internal teams in alignment with Product Management.
    • Train the Sales organization on new products and services or changes that effect the way or options of selling.

    Who are you?

    Qualifications & Education

    • BA/BS, MBA preferred and/or computer science related background.
    • 5+ years experience in pre-Sales or consulting or engineering related customer interactions.
    • Outstanding written and oral communication skills in both English and local language.
    • Proven ability to interface, influence and manage with all levels of an organization.
    • Proven track record in major account/customer management.
    • Proven track record in winning major deals.
    • Solid track record of pre-Sales capabilities in Automotive.
    • IoT industry experience is a plus.
