    HERE's finance team is looking for Financial Systems Manager who is excited to lead us through a transformation that touches on every aspect of our financial system.     What's the role?

    The role of a financial systems manager includes maintaining, planning, designing, developing, and launching efficient financial system(s). It is also the responsibility of the systems manager to maintain the efficiency and accuracy/integrity of the core financial reporting systems and business processes. This includes collecting and analyzing data to support business cases, system requirements, and proposed projects.

     

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

     

    • Review current financial reporting systems and propose (where applicable) standardization across the organization.
    • Review and analyze pre-existing financial systems for its effectiveness. Based on facts, they will develop new strategies to improve or further leverage the company's financial system.
    • Develop better financial reporting systems, and dashboards.
    • Financial systems manager is responsible for systems maintenance and administration. They must undertake systems maintenance tasks and work with the technical support teams within the IT organization to ensure that the reliability and performance of the system is maximized.
    • Meet with system owners, decision makers, and end users to define the business financial operations requirements, goals, and seek to identify and resolve any issues. It is also the responsibility of the financial systems managers to define the scope of work, deliverables, timeframes, and methodology.
    • Improve business processes and operations through prototyping and developing new financial systems enhancements.
    • Identify and establish parameters and scope of systems analysis so that defining the outcome criteria and measure-taking actions will be easier for the organization.
    • Collaborate in the design planning, development, and deployment of enhancements to existing financial systems and new applications, as well.
    • It is the responsibility of financial systems managers to conduct research on hardware and software products to support buying efforts and to justify recommendations.
    • Operational Management Duties and Responsibilities
    • Financial systems managers are responsible for creating and maintaining technical, project planning, and documentation of business processes.
    • Manage technical requirements, and setup financial systems to maintain backups, updates, and develop improvements.
    • Maintain standards and documentation, as well as create proposals for financial systems designs.
    • Prepare and deliver recommendations, or reports, which address existing, or potential trouble of the financial systems.
    • Aid management in making implementation decisions by creating analysis for cost-benefit and return on investment.
    • Create efficiencies within the area of across the area by evaluating business processes, recommending improvements, and identifying new opportunities..

     

     

    Who are you?

    • In-depth understanding of software development life cycle - including requirement analysis, preparing technical specifications after analyzing business requirements for design and development, system testing, business acceptance and troubleshooting in various roles ranging from Team Member to a Project Leader.
    • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and system analysis
    • Experience in implementing auditable reporting IT solutions.
    • Ability to develop and present data analysis results in a meaningful way for senior business  leaders and executives to easily comprehend quickly as part of the decision making process
    • Display an excellent understanding of upstream and downstream applications and the implications of proposed requirements and/or solutions.
    • Able to brainstorm and lead efforts to gather, document and validate requirements where business expertise is lacking or non-existent i.e. “find a way” and accomplish the mission
    • Rapid absorption of new information or new domain knowledge. Quick learner – able to pick up new concepts, methods and obtain deep understanding of systems and interface
    • Significantly influence IT and business stakeholders
    • Provide expert advice within systems domains/portfolio and for other portfolios
    • Confidently present findings to senior management and executives
    • Develop and deliver powerful presentations by positioning content and objectives appropriately (i.e. positive verses negative tone) for the audience.
    • Understanding of organizational relationships and dynamics
    • Proven knowledge and robust understanding of banking industry and processes
    • Excellent knowledge of information systems concepts and IT trends
