    What's the role?

    As Business Controller, you will become part of the Finance and Control team and be based in Chicago, reporting to the Director of Finance. The team leads the financial planning, reporting and analysis for HERE’s Sales organization. This includes monthly forecasting, annual planning, long term financial planning, ad hoc analysis and business partnership with the Americas Sales leadership team for all aspects of the business including revenue, cost of sales and operating expenses. In this role you will partner with a fast paced and high performing finance team, operations and leadership teams, to ensure we meet our short term and long-term objectives. You will be responsible of translating business plans into financial forecasts, manage and lead preparation of business cases and complex financial models.


    • Serve as a financial business partner for the Americas Sales leadership team, as well as key operational stakeholders to provide financial transparency and decision support
    • Develop a robust understanding of HERE, its products, its markets and its internal organization in order to form an objective perspective, detect trends and provide insightful analysis and communicate this effectively to senior management
    • Manage and lead the development on analyses, simulation models, new business cases, tools and templates to support planning and decision making
    • Lead the monthly reporting, forecasting and long term planning
    • Lead the continuous improvement of tools and processes to drive efficiencies and enable the region's ambitious growth plans
    • Provide specialist advice/input in complex and broad financial issues, e.g. new partnerships and large-scale transformation initiatives
    • Manage end-to-end creation of business cases
    • Persuasive communications in all formats.
    • Ability to synthesize a set of complex ideas into a clear and concise deliverable.


    Who are you?

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other technical discipline.
    • 7 -10 years of relevant finance experience, potential experience in management or financial consulting (Big 4) is a plus
    • Strong presentation skills, strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer focused, professional demeanor
    • Ability to work with senior business partners in fast paced business environment, ability to deliver results and build trust with senior leaders.
    • Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to think creatively (outside the box) and solve problems in ambiguous environments
    • Advanced modeling skills including advanced excel skills
    • Strong working knowledge and experience with enterprise reporting and planning systems (Hyperion Planning, Workspace, Smart View, Peoplesoft)
    • Experience managing complex programs that involve cross functional internal business processes, organizations and may involve dependencies with external business partners.
    • Direct relation management experience when working in a matrix organization structure. Experience in providing Project Management to distributed cross functional and remote teams.
    • Proven ability to interface with all levels across the HERE and customer landscape; ability to manage up, down and across effectively
    • Prior technical product development experience, preferably gained in a navigation software or wireless communication environment, is a plus
    • Excellent change management and project management capabilities
    • Strong track record in influencing others and driving multi-faceted projects to successful completion
    • Proven ability to manage ambiguity and adapt seamlessly to changing priorities
    • Natural team player cross functions and cross hierarchy
    • Outstanding oral and written communications and presentation skills in English.
