    What's the role?

    The Automotive Strategy Manager is a global role that reports into the Sr. Director Automotive Strategy. The Automotive Strategy team develops and drives the HERE growth strategy for the overall industry segment Automotive, including identifying new areas of opportunity. This means expanding and enhancing HEREs current Car Centric offerings and branching into new areas such as Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance & Insurance, Mobility and Industry X.0.

    The Automotive Strategy team will partner closely with the HERE Product organizations on translating the Automotive segment strategy into product strategies and roadmaps resulting in compelling value propositions which fulfill customer business outcomes.

    Connecting to senior and executive industry stakeholders and influencers, the Automotive Strategy Manager has a focus on mapping and analyzing market trends as well as strategies and pain points of external stakeholders. The Automotive Strategy Manager is focused on driving the internal product and customer strategy definition by identifying gaps and potential growth opportunities and defining the high-level path to realize them.


    • Recognized as strategic partner and advisor for driving business growth to both internal and external stakeholders
    • Develop and expand customer relationships at senior level across departments
    • Use internal networking to develop an atmosphere of trust and partnership in order to gain the required insight into products, roadmaps challenges and strategies
    • Create compelling and fact-driven Automotive Strategy recommendations (e.g. whitepapers) for presentation to internal stakeholders at senior management level
    • Align with regional counterparts and organization to ensure implementation on regional level
    • Work especially with Product and Sales organization to achieve buy-in for focusing on identified areas of growth by shifting existing or new resources
    • Use exposure to industry experts/analysts through relevant industry events to stay abreast and analyze latest trends and opportunities, as well as forming new contacts on customer side


    Who are you?

    • A customer-focused approach and responsiveness
    • Very deep and broad expertise in the Automotive Electronics industry (OEMs, Tier1).
    • Technical aptitude and product-oriented focus; a certain degree of engineering/technical background is needed
    • Understanding of the automotive or software industry and/or marketing experience with auto OEMs is a plus
    • Experience in structured requirements elicitation is a plus.
    • Handling time critical topics and multi-tasking
    • Ability to function effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
    • Creativity and sound judgment in problem solving
    • Excellent attention to detail and quality orientation
    • Strong presentation skills in front of senior audiences
    • Minimum 8 to 12 years of business/marketing or relevant business development experience, ideally with international exposure
    • Experience within a management consulting firm would be ideal! 
    • Excellent written and verbal communicator in English, German a plus
