    Urban Mobility is an agile team of 30 people (developers and data professionals) based in Berlin and Eindhoven, enthusiastic about bringing mobility solutions and public transport guidance to our customers around the globe. To do this we deploy, manage and update daily over 2500 data sources, covering 1500 cities in 60 countries through our End to End processes and have developed an API solution to deliver a world class multimodal mobility service. Speed, accuracy and automation are our constant buzz words as we aim to stay ‘on schedule’ for our clients! Data is the key to our product and we are seeking an engineer, based in Eindhoven (with infrequent travel to Berlin) as passionate about data as we are to keep our progress on the right track.


    What's the role?

    Working for the data engineering side of the Urban Mobility Team you will join a group of six international and multi-lingual data experts who strive to ensure that our product contains the latest and freshest data. You will be responsible for;

    • Analysis and conversion of new static and dynamic data sources around the world working with our sourcing teams and local transit agencies to find the best solutions.
    • Challenge our development team in assessing and recommending improvements and additions to our End to End process flow.
    • Apply data expertise to identify and resolve quality issues to maintain accuracy and speed-to-market.
    • Participate in new product initiatives and technologies – support to ensure that we continue to delight our customers.

    Who are you?

    • Undergraduate degree, but graduate degree preferred in GIS, computer science, geodesy or a related field
    • 2-3 years data engineering experience (with transit related data desirable)
    • Experience with Python skills is desirable.
    • Clear understanding of Agile techniques and scrum.
    • Analytical and challenger mindset
    • Independent worker who can perform under time pressure
    • Fluent English required other languages preferred.
