    As the momentum in autonomous driving and driverless vehicles is continuing to accelerate, we are enabling autonomous and semi-autonomous mobility solutions by providing innovative core technology and capabilities that span the cloud and vehicle.  The Multisensor Fusion team is looking for an engineer to support joint technical projects with our customers in our new office in Boulder, CO.

     

    This position will work closely with automotive OEMs to develop systems for processing data sent to the HERE cloud from their series production vehicles into published maps that are downloaded and continuously updated in vehicles.

    What's the role?

    This position will support a wide range of R&D activities:

     

    • Lead technical efforts on map learning proof of concept projects 
    • Work with production and prototype HERE systems to perform data processing
    • Support processing and ingest of sensor data event streams collected from fleet vehicles
    • Perform data analysis of sensor data event streams
    • Write ‘glue code’ to build workflows from components
    • Work closely with HERE researchers and software engineers to report problems and requirements
    • Meet regularly with customers, both formally and informally

    Who are you?

    • Undergraduate or Master’s Degree in a related field such as GIS, computer science, statistics, or mathematics
    • Programming skills in a scripting language on Linux, preferably Python
    • Exposure to a cloud computing environment such as AWS
    • Ability to work with geographically distributed teams
    • Demonstrated ability to interact with customers
    • Comfortable with prototype technology and steep learning curves
    • Excellent communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Familiarity with mapping or location-based services
