    What's the role?

As our digital and physical lives become increasingly inter-connected, our map of the world is rapidly changing. With every connected device or sensor capable of generating and sharing its context and location, it is data that will connect this complex new world. The question is how do we make better use of that data and transform it into useful services for people and organizations – all in real-time?

Our answer is the HERE Open Location Platform.

The Open Location Platform Marketplace team believes the value of a platform is directly related to the convenience of monetizing from the platform. Our goals are to enable sellers to easily market a data product and to enable buyers to easily consume a data product. We will achieve this by providing a self-serve managed cloud service for sellers to list data products and for buyers to subscribe to data products.

The Open Location Platform Marketplace team is seeking a highly skilled Lead Quality Engineer to architect automated testing solutions and lead the test automation efforts within an agile development team. Successful candidates should have experience testing large-scale mission-critical web applications and REST web services.

The Lead Quality Engineer should be comfortable working with local and remote development teams, capable of influencing product stakeholders with crisp communication and analytic skills, and be motivated to inject quality in all phases of the development process. We are seeking a self-motivated, curious and team oriented individual who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and manually test if that is what the quality bar demands.

    • Coordinate with product owners, designers and developers to translate requirements and wireframes into acceptance criteria, test cases and test plans
    • Lead the efforts of a remote automation team
    • Own the automation test tooling and architecture
    • Help innovate our team’s CI/CD infrastructure
    • Help plan and document releases
    • Plan, execute and report on performance tests
    • Help grow and mentor the QA team; help drive the adoption of TDD practices among the development team
    • Collaborate with other engineering and testing teams across the company
