    Our Licensing and Business Operations (LBO) team creates value for HERE through the development, execution and governance of business models and licensing terms.  The Regional Deal Desk within LBO supports the regional team in structuring and closing deals in that region. This team is looking to hire a sales operations and commercial expert who would manage the SEA Deal Desk, based in Singapore.

     

    What's the role?

    In this role, you will lead a regional deal desk (covering APAC) in providing all necessary pricing and terms support to arrive at the optimal terms and conditions for customer deals.

     

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Support the deal desk director in all pricing/deal requests.
    • Establishing efficient deal processes and operations in the region and direct escalations within this process to ensure organizational alignment on complex deal
    • Developing an understanding of customer's business to support Account Directors with the quotation process and ensure timely response to RFQs
    • Leading the development and review of sound RFQ responses and pricing models for customer specific deals and ensure pricing consistency across customers
    • Providing Account Executives/Directors with key messaging and expertise to create value-based quotations that help garner price premiums while retaining current share of business
    • Supporting in the creation of custom terms and business models for custom deals reflecting the changing environment of navigation and location-based services
    • Reducing complexity of terms where possible to achieving faster sales velocity
    • Providing guidance for and approval of business model proposals.
    • Assisting the legal team in the drafting of deal specific terms
    • Providing feedback into central Licensing function for evolution of new business models, pricing templates, monthly/quarterly reports and licensing intelligence
    • Working with accounting and finance to support reporting details and product level profitability/allocation

    Who are you?

    You are a business centric professional with a deep understanding of structuring deals, licenses and pricing within the IT Product or IT Platforms domain. You understand the cultural norms of doing business and know the business practices followed in the SEA region.

     

    You also possess the following:

    • A Bachelor's degree in finance, strategy or marketing
    • 10 years+ of work experience in pricing, deal negotiations and business development in the technology industry
    • Gravitas with strong interpersonal skills
    • Strong understanding of IP Licensing 
    • Exposure to working with customers in the SEA and APAC region.
    • Ability to work in virtual teams, across time zones.
    • Understanding of geospatial or location-based services.
    • Understanding or prior experience in working with clients from non Automotive sectors (eg Logistics, Retail, IOT, Finance etc)
