    Over-the-air (OTA) updates are a critical component to leverage the full potential of any connected and autonomous vehicle. The team specializes in open source and open standards-based OTA technology that allows automakers and the broader industry to deliver data, software and firmware to vehicles in a secure, cost effective, and scalable manner. Our flagship OTA solution is aligned with Uptane, the OTA security framework initiated and funded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Uptane is the most comprehensive security framework available to defend attacks on updates for connected cars.

    What's the role?

    In this role you will act as a Business Development Manager, working both with customers on projects as well as with product management and internal stakeholders on market strategy and concepts.

    You will be building products for connected cars and be a part of shaping the future of the automotive industry.

    This role includes the following responsibilities:

    • Work in direct contact with customers on projects in the area of connected services, especially OTA updates, in the automotive industry and adjacent IOT industries
    • Provide customers also onsite with consulting, project management, specification development and test management and act as interface to the HERE product and engineering team
    • Evaluate together with sales and account management new business opportunities and support sales and pre-sales teams to establish new business relationships and win RFQs
    • Asses new markets and develop market entry strategies for new industries and new geographical markets for the product line
    • Together with the product management develop business models and use cases in line with the overall development- and product strategy
    • Share market insights and recommendations with product management and product marketing for market intelligence

    Who are you?


    • Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar qualification
    • Around 4+ years of job experience in B2B as business development manager, consultant or project manager
    • Proven experience in technical projects with an automotive manufacturer
    • High-level understanding of IT systems, architectures and workflows; no coding skills required
    • Good understanding of business logics and skills to solve customer problems
    • Ability to self dependently manage projects with the customer
    • Excellent English and German communication skills

    This role requires travelling within Germany.
