  • What's the role?

    As a Business Development Manager, you will identify and enable new market opportunities for HERE based on OLP in Japan. You will understand the business challenges of targeted vertical industries, identify scenarios of how location data can help to overcome the industry and customer challenges, support the local sales and solution teams on a first reference implementation and enable Sales, Pre-sales and Solution Engineering to multiply proven solutions.  


    Your main responsibilities include:

    • Identifying, convincing and validating customers and partners as potential new HERE OLP ecosystem customers or partners. Customers and partners can be data providers, developers, data scientists and data consumers.
    • Supporting sales in presenting and demonstrating OLP (workplace & marketplace) to customers and partners
    • Running deep dive and business ideation sessions to validate the business potential and identifying value add use cases
    • Acting as a business consultant during the OLP validation phase
    • Providing expert support in RFxs
    • Gaining insights into verticals and identify and define value add use cases by adding location
    • Enabling business partners and HERE teams
    • Identifying and collecting missing product and portfolio capabilities, providing structured feedback to Product Management
    • Identifying and coordinating reference implementations with the HERE product group.

    Who are you?

    You are a strong fit for this role if you possess the following skills, abilities, competencies and work experience: 

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, business or related fields
    • 15 years of total work experience with at least 5 years in Product management, Business Development or Pre-Sales.
    • Strong Business development skills in Tracking, Public Sector, Automotive, Telco, Insurance companies
    • A business & sales focus (platform and cloud business experience)
    • Product Management skills (requirement management, business justification, business case creation, interaction with development teams)
    • Domain knowledge in big data processing technologies and location-based services
    • Customer facing skills, ability to make presentations and drive customer workshops
    • Fluent in Japanese and English
