  • What's the role?

    The Global Automotive Segment team (within Industry Solutions) develops and drives the HERE growth strategy for the overall Automotive industry segment, works with the regions to identify new business opportunities, and focuses on specific opportunities to drive regional bookings and revenue targets. To do so in Japan, we are looking to hire a senior manager to help expand and enhance HEREs current Car Centric offerings to branch into new areas such as Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance & Insurance, Mobility and Industry X.0.

    Connecting with senior and executive industry partners and influencers, and using internal resources, the Sr. Manager Industry Solutions (Automotive) analyzes market trends as well as external stakeholder strategies and pain points. You will use these market insights to consult with customers and drive internal product and customer strategy definition by identifying gaps and potential growth opportunities and defining the high-level path to realize them.

    You will excel in structuring initiatives around ambiguous challenges, diving deep into the data, and engaging with diverse partners both inside and outside of HERE.

    Your main responsibilities include:

    • Being a strategic partner and advisor for driving business growth to both internal and external partners
    • Developing and growing customer relationships at senior levels across departments
    • Using internal networking to develop an atmosphere of trust and partnership in order to gain the required insight into products, roadmaps challenges and strategies
    • Building compelling and fact-driven automotive strategy recommendations (e.g. whitepapers) for presentation to internal partners at senior management level
    • Aligning with regional counterparts (APAC) and organizations to ensure implementation at the regional level
    • Working especially with Product and Sales organizations to achieve agreement for focusing on identified areas of growth by shifting existing or new resources
    • Using exposure to industry experts/analysts through relevant industry events to stay abreast and analyzing the latest trends and opportunities, as well as forming new contacts on the customer side

     

    Who are you?

    You will be successful in this role if you possess the following skills, competencies and experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or similar field
    • A customer-focused approach and responsiveness including consultative selling skills.
    • Very deep and broad expertise in the Automotive Electronics industry (OEMs, Tier1).
    • Understanding of the automotive or software industry
    • Technical aptitude and product-/solution-oriented focus.
    • Handling time critical topics, multi-tasking and the ability to function effectively in a geographically dispersed organization
    • Strong presentation skills in front of senior audiences
    • 15+ years of work experience in business/marketing or business development
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English
    • Willingness to travel (up to 25%)
