The Team

Our EMEAR Strategic Alliances team (7 team members) is a geographically dispersed team and responsible for the complete strategic partner network of HERE Technologies in EMEAR. Roughly we can divide our Strategic Alliances in three categories: 

  • Independent Software Vendors 
  • System Integrators 
  • Solution Enablers.

The Role

The Strategic Alliances Manager owns the end to end relationship with partners (System Integrators, ISV's) and focusses on identifying, qualify and grow relationships with existing and new strategic partners. This all to assure breakthrough opportunities for HERE and its Partners.  This role will promote, upsell and cross-sells the HERE product & services stack focusing on the business benefits of each technology. We expect from you as our Strategic Partner Manager to develop a strong relationship with strategic partners and deliver an industry leading partner experience maintaining a consistent sense of satisfaction for the partner to ultimately lead to sales growth.  

 

You understand the organization, the IOT Ecosystem and business model of the Strategic Partners and develop relationships with decision makers, and technical/sales operatives to ensure efficient communication and productivity. Furthermore, you as our Strategic Alliances Manager in Germany will: 

 

  • focus on the three emerging markets @ HERE: Transport and Logistics - Telco, Media and Technology – Retail and Financial Services; 
  • focus on System Integrators to build out the eco-system around those markets;
  • cooperate closely with the HERE Sales Teams in all selling activities (sell with/sell through/ sell to initiatives), where appropriate;  
  • lead and manage Partner initiatives and identify new strategies & incentives for field engagement and business success;  
  • create and manage a governance structure for projects and initiatives owned to manage the IOT-ecosystem; 
  • act as a strategic advisor to HERE Partners, HERE Sales Teams and HERE Business Groups.  

 

Who are you?

This demanding role needs a manager that has proven experience within the technology industry in combination with a good understanding of a Strategic Alliances framework so that you can quickly assess threats & opportunities and pro-actively design tactical options to accelerate forward.  

 

You will most likely recognize yourself in the below characteristics:  

  • 7+ years of experience within the IT solutions industry, with proven experience in building and managing partnerships with global players.  
  • Thorough understanding of the IOT ecosystem. 
  • Can-do proactive attitude and business development mindset (hunter). 
  • Proven ability to manage partnerships in a EURO 1 Billion+ company in a market facing significant disruption.  
  • Experienced manager in transforming (virtual) teams to new objectives and has an ability to work effectively at all levels and cross-functionally with proven communication and management skills.  
  • Strong ability to interface effectively with key stakeholders, strong communication and presentation skills.  
  • Creative thinker willing to challenge status quo with new ideas, new approaches, and new solutions, while deeply understanding and respecting what works today. 
  • Degree in Management or Business Administration.
  • Relevant network in Retail/Finance, Technology/Telco/media and/or Transport/Logistics is a plus.
