About the team:

The Delivery Platform team is a cloud abstraction platform layer for HERE data processing pipelines and content delivery services. 

Our team is both developing and integrating exciting, groundbreaking, large-scale automation and deployment technologies to provide performance and scalability. We spend most of our time coding in Golang and Python. We also take care of Linux, networking, docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• You will drive the success of the HERE platform effort through deliberate, clear, and consistent architecture, design, and validation
• You will ensure that automation and testing is on par with our high platform standards
• You will be a technical subject matter expert representing the team
• You will develop, test and deploy production ready code in a public cloud
• You will investigate and perform root cause analysis of software and system defects
• You will define and implement monitoring solutions to ensure large scale clusters are functioning properly
• You will mentor and provide technical direction to junior team members

We are looking for someone who has experience developing and deploying production-grade services based upon Kubernetes in large organizations with compliance requirements. You have experience with all aspects of the production software lifecycle, from working with customers to craft development plans, to selecting required tools and technologies, as well as deployment of software to production ready, stable environments.

• Professional software development and deployment experience, including knowledge of continuous integration, continuous delivery and automated testing disciplines.
• Strong programming skills, Python experience required, Golang is nice to have
• Experience with trouble shooting distributed applications; Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Puppet are desired
• Unix systems administration and scripting skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Experience with logging, monitoring, and reporting systems
• Experience with agile methods and tools
• Good interpersonal skills and feel comfortable coordinating across teams.
