As part of a cross functional team in this role you will:

• Lead our small backend team and help us in developing scalable services, design APIs together with mobile engineers.
• Work closely with designers, architects, engineers and product manager to find the best solution, thereby shaping our apps' offering.
• Work with modern technology (Kotlin, Spring Boot) on a tight, well tested code base.

You are a team-player who collaborates with developers, testers and product owner to create an amazing user experience. You can lead a team with empathy and inspiration. You have experience with all aspects of the production software lifecycle. You have excellent interpersonal skills and feel comfortable coordinating efforts across teams. You are a fast learner and comfortable working with little direction.

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 8 to 12 years of expereince in software industry including experience of managing small teams of two to three members.
• Experience in backend and infrastructure engineering.
• Excellent knowledge in Java OR Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with DB technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
• Experience in implementing unit tests and test automation.
• Hands-on experience of CI/CD processes and code deployment. 
• Good understanding of container and container orchestration systems, like Docker and K8s.
• Experience with AWS or any other Cloud Platforms.

In this role you will be part of The HERE WeGo team which brings world class HERE products and services to the consumer market. It is a team of around 20 engineers, designers and product people, fully equipped to bring state-of-the-art location technology to consumers world-wide via our HERE WeGo Apps for Mobile and Web.
