Description

As a Senior UI Designer for HERE Platform, you strive to combine the useful with the delightful. You create holistic user experiences that embody usability but also convey visual richness and emotional rapport.

At HERE, you will develop and apply a cohesive UX language for our software products and tools. Your UI solutions will be purposeful, have top visual appeal and optimally convey our brand.

You will work in a cross-discipline design team to ensure that the UI and UX communicates the desired intent and drives user interaction. You are passionate about working hands-on to add value to our products and services and you are willing to drive your ideas from early concepts to the details of final implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Create user-centered designs by considering product requirements, research insights and technical requirements alike.
• Work with product managers and researchers to test your assumptions and improve ideas.

• Create interactive prototypes to demonstrate the functionality and flow of the user interface.

• Prepare design specifications and documentation and work with software architects and developers to structure and implement your UI solutions.
• Apply and contribute to the internal design system.
• Work on strategic design issues and present to stakeholders when needed.
• Work on the full UI stack across various services, output devices, screens and components
• Manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
• Support and foster user centered ways of working

Qualifications

• Excellent form-giving and visual design skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fluency in best practices for UI design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
• The ability to design, prototype & specify UI in static and dynamic ways.
• Good general experience in typography and data visualization.
• Experience with service design is a plus
• Strong technical knowledge of how web/mobile-based technologies apply to design. Strong knowledge of web and mobile paradigms on various platforms and screen sizes
• A high level of proficiency in standard UI design software tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Suite
• Experience with front-end technologies (CSS, HTML5) a plus
• Exceptional portfolio, with focus on UI and visual design for web, web-apps, mobile web and mobile native OSs  
• Ability to work independently and pro-actively manage design tasks and projects.
• Experience working on B2B products and not afraid of technically complex solutions.
• BA/BS degree in Visual Design, Communications Design or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) or equivalent professional experience
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
