The candidate shall participate in all stages of software development including refining product vision, gathering requirements, software system design, coding, testing, release, and support and is expected to wrk with other departments to achieve cross-functional goals to satisfy product expectations:

• Develop, extend and maintain software products in an innovative and iteratively growing environment
• Software design and review
• Software development of application or system components
• Unit testing of developed code
• Investigation and root cause analysis of software and system defects
• Maintain and run tools and processes that support and automate software product release
• Understand the technical aspects of the products used to support the configuration management activities of the development process
• Adapt configuration management tools for the complex needs of the development teams or the management of the development process
• Deploy the development artifacts to a staging area for release to production; enforce process compliance
• Collaborate in a team environment across multiple research and engineering disciplines and make architectural tradeoffs required to rapidly deliver software solutions.

Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent

• 2 to 4  years of Software engineering experience with poroficieny in Java / J2EE Development, Spring, XML, Python
• Experience with MySQL, Postgres or Oracle
• Experience in Web Services, JSON (GeoJSON), JUnit, SQL, PL/SQL, Maven, Spring
• Strong skills in AWS is desired
• Proficient in a Configuration Management tool (e.g., GIT, Subversion or CVS)
• Knowledge of agile development techniques such as TDD, Pair Programming, Refactoring, Continuous Integration
• Creative, resourceful and innovative problem solver with excellent oral and written communication skills

 Preferred (Good to have): 

• Exposure with Machine learning applications in a modern software architecture.
• Exposure to modern practice - Kubernetes, Docker
• Domain Experience with GIS/Mapping/Location Services.

You will be part of an engineering team that is responsible primarily for developing Perception Models or Derivation Algorithms for automated map making and maintenance.
