You will be part of HERE SDK UI Components team.

The HERE SDK provides a set of programming interfaces that enables developers to build immersive native mobile applications while leveraging our powerful and flexible Location Services Platform. With features such as routing, turn-by-turn voice guidance, search, interactive 2D and 3D vector maps and much more, we allow our customers to develop powerful location-based applications natively on different platforms like Android, iOS and Flutter.

The UI Components team is developing a library of UI components that simplify using the HERE SDK. To make that happen, and deliver the best quality in the market, we are searching for an excellent software engineer to contribute to our mission to create first-class products.

What you’ll be doing

As a Principal Software Engineer for UI Components, you will be a key member of our growing SDK engineering team in India. You will be developing UI components in Kotlin, Swift and Flutter that will make building the mobile applications that use the HERE SDK easier.

This position requires you to be motivated to explore and deliver the best possible solutions to our customers with very high quality. You should have passion for technology and a strong customer-centric product sense. You should enjoy working outside the comfort zone and love to learn new technologies.

The position is based in India and will report to the Engineering Manager of the HERE SDK Team.

We are seeking a highly skilled and accomplished mobile app developer with a strong background in software development.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor/Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a similar technical degree.
• Extensive experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications across various platforms.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks relevant to mobile development, such as Swift, Kotlin and Flutter.
• A proven track record of successfully managing the full app development lifecycle, from concept and design to release and support.
• A robust portfolio showcasing a variety of completed projects, including high-profile or complex apps.
• A strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and the ability to translate them into efficient and usable UI components.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a demonstrated capacity to handle complex development challenges.
• Good communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
