In this role as a Sr. Test Engineer you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the testing activities within the SDK QA team. Furthermore, you will:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for performance testing of mobile applications.
• Define best practices and standards for mobile performance testing.
• Create detailed performance test plans that outline objectives, scope, and criteria for success.
• Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate application performance.
• Design performance test scenarios that mimic real-world usage patterns and peak load conditions.
• Create necessary test data for performance testing.
• Execute performance tests on mobile applications to measure response times, throughput, and resource utilization.
• Utilize performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, and mobile-specific tools like Appium with performance plugins.
• Monitor system performance during tests using tools like New Relic, Dynatrace, or Grafana.
• Develop and maintain automated performance test scripts.
  
  

You are an ideal candidate for this role if you possess the following skills, competencies, and work experience   

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably in computer science
• 5-8 years’ of software industry experience including 3+ years in mobile apps testing.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation and scripting.
• Extensive experience with tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, and mobile-specific tools.
• In-depth knowledge of iOS and Android performance characteristics.
• Expertise in methodologies like load testing, stress testing, and capacity testing.
• Strong understanding of performance test design techniques.
• Strong knowledge of Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with New Relic, Dynatrace, Grafana, or similar.

In this role, you will be part of our innovative SDK QA team, which is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of HERE services through rigorous testing and automation of our Android and iOS applications. Your daily focus will be on developing robust test frameworks, automating test cases, and integrating them into our CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with developers to convert test plans into reality, ensuring that our mobile applications perform seamlessly.
