HERE Technologies is looking for a Sr UX/UI Designer (m/f/x) to join the HERE Design System team and help define, design and evangelize the next generation of design resources. Our portfolio spans across web, mobile and in-vehicle solutions and includes a wide range of industry-specific and consumer products. The HERE Design System therefore supports designer and developer needs in the fields of system design, product UI and data visualization.

As part of the HERE Design System team, you’ll work hands-on to add user value to our products and drive the standardization of creation, processing, quality assurance and final implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Design for simplicity in an ecosystem of highly technical products and services
  • Create comprehensive design documentation to ensure knowledge transfer early on for HERE designers, developers and other stakeholders
  • Work closely with software engineering to understand technical realities and to ensure proper implementation of assets
  • Collaborate with developers and designers to continuously gather feedback and improve the HERE Design System
  • Handle multiple synchronous projects, manage key stakeholders, meet deadlines and work well under pressure

Who are you?

  • You hold a BA/BS degree in Digital Design, Interaction Design, Software Product Design or related discipline.
  • You have at least 4 years of experience in a similar or complimentary role.
  • You have an exceptional portfolio that demonstrates your ability to design, prototype and build user-centric web and mobile applications (automotive applications a bonus).
  • You approach your designs systematically with the ability to break down problems and narratives into user-centric solutions. You’re able to communicate the narrative and your design decisions to a larger audience.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. From sketches to mid/high-fidelity designs, you can get your visual and non-visual ideas across to a variety of audiences.
  • You collaborate well with team members from different disciplines and key stakeholders across the company.
  • You have a good understanding of design systems and their aspects like tokens, typography, color systems, UX patterns, accessibility etc.
  • You’re in your element when using research and data to inform and validate design decisions.
  • You bring solid experience in applying common design processes and standards as well as following agile development practices.

If all this sounds like you, and you’re ready to make an impact in many aspects of design-driven activities at a global technology company, please apply. We’d love to meet you and see your work.
