What's the role?

As the Head of Solution Engineering - Professional Services, you will lead a global team of managers and engineers across embedded and cloud solutions, leveraging the company’s product portfolio. You will play a key role in bridging customer needs with engineering execution, driving technical innovation within the Automotive and Multi Industries sectors. Your leadership will shape the delivery of customized solutions, ensure operational excellence, and elevate the engineering organization to meet strategic business goals.

You will lead a team of approximately 60 internal engineers and manage team augmentation by external suppliers, involving around 200 engineers from time to time.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary engineering team across regions, managing performance, career development, and organizational structure.
  • Foster a high-performance culture by aligning teams with business objectives and delivering on strategic priorities.
  • Champion a coaching-oriented leadership style, actively mentoring managers, tech leads, and emerging talent to grow technical, managerial, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans, contributing to the organization transformation.

Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the key engineering interface for internal and external stakeholders, translating business requirements into executable engineering plans.
  • Ensure and enable the successful execution of customer solutions by aligning engineering resources, timelines, and technical strategies to meet delivery goals.
  • Collaborate closely with product, regional sales, and customer teams to develop and deliver multiple customer solutions.
  • Lead negotiation and alignment with senior leaders to drive business outcomes and customer satisfaction.

Operational Excellence:

  • Drive operational excellence by designing and optimizing organizational workflows and engineering processes.
  • Implement a robust cross-functional estimation framework to reduce RFQ response times and improve delivery forecasting.
  • Ensure seamless execution and high reliability of services, maintaining expected availability across multiple production systems.

Standards & Compliance:

  • Promote engineering best practices, compliance standards, and quality assurance across all deliverables.
  • Ensure technical governance, consistency, and accountability in engineering execution across customer programs.

Who are you?

  • Master’s/PhD degree in computer science or a related discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in engineering leadership, blending technical expertise with business acumen.
  • Extensive experience working in and with the Automotive industry types of information technology.
  • A visionary engineering leader with a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Proven success in managing complex engineering organizations at scale.
  • Adept at translating strategic objectives into actionable plans and measurable results.
  • Extensive experience leading engineering functions across embedded and cloud technical domains.
  • Demonstrated ability to align engineering execution with customer needs and business priorities.
  • A track record of driving and scaling multidisciplinary teams, including software development, quality enablement, DevOps, and operations.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with a passion for developing talent and fostering continuous learning.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and contribute to organizational strategy.
  • Strong experience with Agile methodologies and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) practices.
  • Familiarity with embedded and cloud technologies such as Android, AWS, Spring Boot, Java, and REST APIs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Must be able and willing to accommodate working in a global team environment with peers and team members spread across multiple countries and time zones.
