• Design beautiful, functional user interfaces that support map editing, visualization, and collaboration tools.

• Create high-fidelity UI designs that are consistent with the HERE Design System and brand guidelines.

• Work closely with UX engineers, product managers, quality assurance to bring ideas to life.

• Translate user stories and wireframes into compelling visual designs and interactive mockups.

• Design interface elements such as dashboards, data visualizations, toolbars, modals, maps overlays, map interactions, and more.

• Collaborate with engineers during implementation to ensure designs are accurately translated into code.

• Contribute to ongoing refinement and expansion of the design system.

• Iterate based on feedback from usability testing and user behavior insights.

• Maintain design documentation and assets for development handoff.

• Stay up to date with design trends, UI patterns, and emerging tools.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Visual Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in visual design for web applications—typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy.

• Proficiency in Figma for creating high-fidelity mockups, components, and interactive prototypes.

• Familiarity with React (basic understanding of components, props, and how designs map to code).

• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS3 to understand design feasibility and collaborate effectively with engineers.

• Experience designing responsive interfaces for multiple screen sizes and platforms.

• Attention to detail and passion for pixel-perfect execution.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills—able to work with software engineers, quality assurance, and product managers.

• Experience working within or maintaining a design system is a plus.

Bonus: 

• Working with 3D rendering applications, GIS software like QGIS, ESRI ArcGIS
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git, GitHub)

• A good eye for motion and micro-interactions.
