At HERE Technologies, we're seeking a Director of Accounting who will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy and operations. Key Responsibilities:

As the Director of Accounting, you will oversee all aspects of accounting for multiple legal entities across the Americas region, reporting directly to the VP, Corporate Controller. You will:

• Lead general accounting, payroll, tax compliance, and financial reporting for legal entities in the AMER region.
• Ensure financial compliance and statutory governance across the organization, managing audits and providing support to external auditors.
• Drive inventory accounting, cost of sales, and expense auditing for global operations.
• Own treasury accounting and manage banking activities, ensuring financial integrity and transparency.
• Implement process improvements and contribute to system upgrades, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Be the primary contact for U.S. auditors, ensuring audit readiness and smooth collaboration.
• Work autonomously, making strategic decisions while aligning with organizational goals, with the backing of a supportive leadership team.

We’re looking for a results-driven, strategic finance leader, ideally with a mix of operational accounting experience and public accounting expertise. You bring:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Strong experience with multi-entity financial management, compliance, and strategic planning.
• CPA and public accounting experience (preferably in operational accounting for public/private companies).
• Proven track record in leading teams, driving process improvements, and collaborating effectively across functions.
• Exceptional financial acumen, with expertise in financial reporting, risk management, and regulatory compliance (including SoX readiness).
• Ability to make strategic decisions that balance cost management with operational efficiency, while maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity.

The expected base salary range for this position is $230,000 to $280,000 per year. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as skills and experience. This role is eligible for a sales incentive plan with a target of 25% of base salary. Final payouts depend on individual and company performance
