What's the role?

In your role as Director, Professional Services (PS), you will act as the Head of Program Management & Solution Maintenance, holding a critical global leadership position within the PS organization. You will manage and scale high-performing global teams across program delivery and service operations while ensuring strategic alignment with HERE’s top-tier enterprise and automotive clients.

 

This role carries dual responsibilities:

  • Lead the Professional Services Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure seamless execution and governance across the entire customer-facing delivery portfolio. This includes also leading a team of project and program managers and being accountable for successful delivery of customer projects, maintaining timelines, scope, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Manage the Solution Maintenance and Operations business, with full P&L accountability and operational oversight, including 24/7 infrastructure and system support services.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Global Program Management Leadership

  • Lead and evolve the global Program Management function, standardizing delivery methodologies, governance frameworks, and execution tools.
  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of global programs, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and in-scope delivery—particularly within the automotive domain.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders—Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success—to ensure end-to-end alignment across programs and strategic accounts.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a high-impact global team of program managers, with an emphasis on automotive OEM engagements and software-driven vehicle systems.
  • Serve as the executive escalation and governance authority for priority and escalated programs.

Solution Maintenance and Operations Leadership

  • Lead the global Solution Maintenance and Operations function, delivering high-reliability support and infrastructure operations for live HERE deployments.
  • Own and manage the full P&L for the Maintenance & Operations business, including budget accountability, cost management, and revenue contribution.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of long-term maintenance contracts, including 24/7 live system support, service monitoring, and compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Maintain operational excellence in supporting critical systems, especially those integrated into in-vehicle infotainment, embedded navigation platforms, and connected vehicle services.
  • Drive continuous improvement through innovation, automation, and analytics in service delivery and operations.

 

Who are you?

 

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in enterprise program delivery, service operations, or technology consulting, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing global functions.
  • Extensive expertise in the automotive industry, including direct experience with in-vehicle navigation systems, infotainment platforms, digital cockpit systems, and embedded software delivery for OEMs or Tier-1s.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, networking, and security solutions.
  • Proven ability to lead large global teams and deliver multi-million-dollar programs in a complex, customer-centric environment.
  • Experience with full P&L ownership, including financial planning, forecasting, and commercial performance management.
  • Strong command of delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, SAFe), service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL), and enterprise governance models.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience interfacing with senior automotive executives.
  • PMP, PgMP, ITIL, or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (~10–20%) to support customers and internal operations.
