The Global Solution Engineering and Maintenance team is tasked with evolving and maintaining HERE Automotive SDK and associated backend services; offers functionality on various domains: Routing, Rendering, Search, System, Traffic, Guidance used to enable in-car navigation use cases.

We are searching for a Software Engineer with strong dev ops skills and backend development knowhow to join our team. Responsible for deploying product updates, identifying production issues and implementing integrations. Develop, document & execute process/engineering solution for new/existing processes/solution/ products as the case may be.

Must be a top-tier backend and dev ops engineer with proven proficiency in CI/CD development and backend development (REST API). Would be contributing to a wide range of projects and programs for dev ops and backend development.  Musthave good communication skills and be passionate about integration etc. specially with OEM platform.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Configure, run, monitor and improve complex CI/CD pipelines to support SW development and processing of location data
• Apply and extended CI/CD tools and execute end-to-end ownership of your developed software stack, including DevOps and testing aspects.
• Analyze any customer requirements & issues reported, Provide direct and responsive support for urgent analytic needs
• Deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and implementing integrations develop, document & execute process/engineering solution for new/existing processes/solutions/products
• Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards , Monitor and improve performance assuring highest customer availability
• Use open-source technologies and tools to accomplish specific use cases encountered within the project
• Adapt services to other backend API changes and technological upgrades (Java and REST API)
• Maintain and increase code quality, while ensuring best engineering practices
• Implement and deliver any customer change requests

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline required or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
• 2+ years of experience primarily focused in DevOps environment. Good to have : Java development.
• Good hands-on experience in DevOps tools like Gitlab, Jenkins, JIRA
• Experience with Linux infrastructures, AWS, Kubernetes, Artifactory, Docker, Python.
• Experience with container orchestration services, especially Kubernetes, deploying applications using Kubernetes
• Experience with software development, infrastructure development, or development and operations
• Experience with agile software development in Java and REST API development.
• Excellent collaborative skills as well as confidence in written and spoken English and Good interpersonal skills.
• Analytical approach and problem-solving skills

The following knowledge would add extra value to your contribution in our team:

• Experience with different DBs
• Knowledge of location-based services such as mapping, navigation, GPS
• HERE Platform
• Knowledge on location or automotive specific industry standards, e.g., Navigation Data Standard (NDS), Transport Protocol Experts Group (TPEG)
