What's the role?

1. Investigating and Strengthening Supplier Security

Dive into the world of third-party cybersecurity! As part of the supplier risk review program, the intern will:

  • Act like a “security detective,” analyzing suppliers’ security practices, certifications, and audit reports to uncover hidden risks.
  • Evaluate real-world security controls used by companies around the globe.
  • Learn how organizations protect themselves from supply chain threats—a top priority in cybersecurity today.
  • Help shape recommendations that directly impact HERE’s partner ecosystem and risk exposure.

This is hands-on experience with one of the fastest-growing areas in cybersecurity: third-party and supply chain risk management.

2. Enhancing Customer Trust Through Security Expertise

Become part of the team that shows customers why HERE is a trusted leader in geospatial data security. The intern will:

  • Work behind the scenes to support HERE’s responses to customer security reviews and questions.
  • Learn how companies communicate their security posture and governance practices in a clear and compelling way.
  • Gain exposure to industry frameworks and controls (ISO, SOC, etc.) a major résumé booster for early‑career cyber professionals.

This experience offers a unique connection between technical security knowledge and customer‑facing communication.

3. Driving Real Impact: Reducing Risk Across HERE’s Applications

Join the front lines of improving HERE’s internal security posture. The intern will:

  • Dive into application risk data to understand what makes systems secure—or vulnerable.

  • Partner with application owners, engineers, and security SMEs to help validate controls and gather evidence.

  • Help identify opportunities to lower application risk scores (specific objectives for focus will be finalized during onboarding).

  • See their work directly contribute to risk reduction across a global technology organization.

This is a rare chance for an aspiring cybersecurity professional to help move actual risk metrics in a meaningful direction.
