What's the role?
In this role you will:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust mobile automation frameworks using Appium/Selenium with Java (or similar), ensuring scalability and reusability
- Drive automation strategy and coverage, identifying high-value scenarios and increasing automation adoption across releases
- Develop and maintain end-to-end automation suites for critical user journeys, ensuring stability and low flakiness
- Integrate and manage automation execution in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Azure DevOps), enabling continuous testing for bi-weekly releases
- Leverage AI-based testing approaches (e.g., OCR, smart element detection, self-healing scripts) to improve automation efficiency and coverage
- Ensure code quality and best practices in automation (modular design, reusable components, proper reporting, version control with Git)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed automation early in the sprint cycle, supporting shift-left testing
- Perform targeted functional and exploratory testing for complex features, ensuring real-world validation on devices and network conditions
- Support release validation through a mix of automated and manual regression, ensuring production stability and quality sign-off
- Mentor junior QA engineers, review automation code, and drive continuous improvement in testing practices, tools, and frameworks
Who are you?
- Bachelor's degree in C.S. or similar stream.
- Five to Eight years of experience in software testing, with a strong emphasis on mobile applications (iOS and Android)
- Proven hands-on experience in test automation using Selenium and Java
- Experience with mobile automation frameworks such as Appium or similar tools
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C#, .NET, or JavaScript
- Solid experience with build and test tools including JUnit, TestNG, Gradle, JMeter, Git, and SQL
- Good understanding of QA processes, tools, and best practices
- Good knowledge of AI driven test automation for mobile applications
- Strong understanding of mobile application testing, including device-level validation and real-world user scenarios
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins

In this role you will be part of SDK QA team, which is responsible for ensuring quality for end customers on SDK products. You will work work closely with the Mumbai-based SDK QA team
