What's the role?

  • As a Senior Database Engineer, you will be part of a collaborative engineering team focused on delivering high-quality ADAS and HD Live Map content.
    You will:
    • Support validation and modeling of HD Live Map content, including 3D splines, lane, and localization models
    • Analyze and process multiple geospatial data sources to create accurate map content
    • Work with internal tools and pipelines (e.g., UniMap) to ensure data consistency and delivery quality
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and customer-facing teams
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, processes, and workflows
    • Ensure delivery of high-quality data that enhances customer experience

Who are you?

Your background

  • Experienced using GIS tools like ArcGIS and/or QGIS with a minimum of 4 years experience.
  • Understanding the various Source data sets to create content;
  • Solid understanding of UniMap pipelines is a must;
  • Ability to utilize software tools in order to query, format, and analyze data (SQL, Tableau, Python, Excel macro, etc.) with a minimum of 2 years experience;
  • Good communication skills to talk to customers, sales teams, development, and production teams;
  • Experience with Agile or Product Ownership is a plus;
  • Mathematical background is a plus (understanding Splines);
  • Comfortable using EarthScape and other internal tools to create the HDLM related attributes, and knowledge knowledge about HD Lanes & Localization Specifications is a plus

About the Team

The HOCC Validation & Modeling Engineering team is a Global team with team members located in Mumbai, Eindhoven, USA and other locations.

We safeguard quality and consistency of HD Live Map Content and Platform Services through rigorous inspection and certification, data validation and advanced analytics to elevate customer experience. We are actively engaged in process and tool development and deployment to enable product innovation and operational efficiency.

Our services are critical to customers in automotive, transportation, logistics, and the private sector. We work directly with customers to ensure that the service delivered to the end-consumer is the highest-quality data available.  We are continually looking at creative but sustainable solutions – internally and directly with customers – to ensure that our data and services will continue to lead the industry in the future.

The Engineering Team focusses on a variety of Content like ADAS, HD Live Map, and HERE Lanes. You will bring your experience and skills to a delivery focused, ambitious and highly collaborative team.
