The Role:

- Discover and support proof of concept of ways to enhance automation of tagging and asset ingest.
- Perform ingesting, organizing, general asset maintenance and management, as well as associated issue management in the digital asset management tools.
- Define, implement, and oversee the full life cycle, archival, and distribution of all digital assets, as well as metadata schemas, taxonomies, and user groups.
- Develop and implement workflows for asset ingestion, categorization, permissions management, version control, delivery, and expiration to internal and external users.
- Be a power user of our CMS platforms, to enable ease of upload and consistent presentation of content.
- Increase brand consistency, improve productivity, and maintain systems to the highest standards.
- Developing training materials, and training and onboarding new users to the tools and assist with questions from existing users.
- Develop skills and expertise in digital asset curation and syndication by being current with prevailing technologies in the digital world, and so be able to contribute to the evolution of new content formats.
- Maintain and contribute to standards and governance by being abreast of industry best practices.
- Work with Contentful, BrandFolder, Contently, Drupal and Workfront.

The Role:
As a Sr Software Engineer, you will be designing & writing software to enrich and clean records representing the hundreds of millions of places/points of interest on our world leading global maps. Some of the daily fun will include the following:
- Tackle interesting and challenging problems of large scale data management and enrichment
- Developing content management, measurement, visualization, and editing tools
- Performing data processing and analysis of data signals from various sources (vehicles, cell phones, web, data providers)
- Working in the AWS cloud computing environment
Job Requirements:
Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent
· 3+ years of software design & development experience. Good to have experience in working on distributed scalable system
· Excellent skills in Java and/or Scala programming. Good to have experience in Sprint boot, messaging technologies and related frameworks
· Cloud Experience. Good to have hands-on in one of them, preferrably AWS
· Strong and applied experience in REST based web service technologies, JSON and XML, SOA and micro services architectures
· Strong experience CI/CD tools, with a preference on Jenkins
· Strong and applied DBMS & SQL skills
· Good knowledge of Linux/Unix – familiar with shell scripting
· Solid knowledge of programming practices, strive to write great code that is reusable, flexible, and reliable.
· Strong quality mindset is considered a must: unit testing, performance testing, writing testable code
· Self-motivated, well-organized, details-oriented and a strong team player with an agile mindset
