The Cost Accounting Analyst supports our Cost of Sales team, and reports into our North America Accounting Team Lead, based in Leon, Guanajuato. This position follows a hybrid working arrangement, three days on-site in our Refugio Campestre office and two days remote (work from home).
Responsibilities
- Review of project / contract terms and ensure that same are reflected in the ERP system (PeopleSoft)
- Ensure accurate cost recognition for each project or contract
- Ensure timely follow-ups of all outstanding items for accurate accounting
- Resolve internal customer inquiries in a professional manner
- Support the work of the team as directed by management
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, procedures and policy and with IFRS regime
- Maintain documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
- Assist in the testing, deployment, and management of processes/projects supporting the cost accounting function
- Prepare monthly journal entries and other month-end close activities

As the NDS Project Manager, you will:

- Bachelor or master's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent
- 2/3+ years of software development experience, Excellent applied skills in Python and/or Scala programming, in combination with backend architectures and fast API frameworks

- Perform updates in our maps and products based on spatial and non-spatial sources. This includes analyzing the data in our maps and representing the reality in the digitized databases following pre-defined procedures represented in the Documentation of processes, Product Specifications, Customer Requirements, etc.
- Analyze and interpret what source inputs indicate and compare them with the existing database to determine if an update is needed to the current database.
- For new map data found in sources, update the database using the appropriate code and tools by following our documented processes
- Perform quality checks on data input to test the validity of data. This is completed with the assistance of more experienced Spatial Data Analysts
- Participate in team meetings or agile ceremonies to discuss and share the status of the tasks, blockers, best practices & lessons learned.
