    SUMMARY OF JOB  GIS Data Engineering Manager shall be managing a team of data engineers responsible to execute/analyze location data that powers HERE data products and services.   MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES - Independently design, lead and execute complex data engineering projects, design new end-to-end processes for the conversion and use of external digital sources in the creation and maintenance of the HERE databases and related products. - Ability to assess and manage risks of complex interdepartmental bulk integration efforts, realizing that as data amounts are high, risks are high. - Independently identify improvement and innovation opportunities and when applicable, drive them into the organization, dealing with possible resistance on the way. - Lead and participate in departmental and cross-functional projects, which will help to increase efficiency, quality and/or reduce costs. - Use experience to recommend improvements for existing processes and tools, undertaking roles of teaching, coaching, technical rollout planning. - Act with empathy and integrity among inter-departmental peers, so that Data Integration insight and advice reaches target. Detect problems with data-conversion, bulk updates, or the MAP databases and act on them. (Re-)engineer new process workflows involving multiple HERE departments. - Mentor, support and supervise a team of GIS Data Engineers. - Participating in architecture and design discussions and reviews.  - Conduct regular 1-on-1 meetings with each assigned team member to assist with issues and provide mentoring support.

The scope of activities will include providing expertise, guidance and coaching to leaders & people managers around people-cycle related topics and processes, as well as for complex employee related cases. You will also have the opportunity in this role to partner with key senior leaders in the region and provide support in the same time zone, while working with global business HRs/teams. You’ll have the chance to participate and sometimes drive both global and regional initiatives to ensure overall goals and desired impact of People-Cycle processes are met.    - End-to-end HR support for leaders and people managers as a regional SPOC. This includes, but is not limited to, support of strategic HR projects such as organizational design & transformation, facilitating manager trainings and brown bags relating to varied topics e.g. performance & talent management, implementation of annual HR programs, and complex employee & labor relations cases. - Using analytics to systematically assess regional HR process performance & impact. Develop partnerships with People COE’s (e.g. Total Rewards, L&D, TA) to propose integrated and effective HR solutions & process improvements that help enable a work environment conducive to building high performing teams. For this, a thorough understanding of the regional landscape from a functional and business perspective is required. - Promoting HERE´s leadership framework in Managers´ execution of the People Cycle. Ensure Managers` maintain a focus on talent engagement and retention through; development discussions, performance management, career / goal setting, talent mobility, onboarding and forecasted staffing - Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of people issues, attempting to resolve employee relations issues with a systematic approach. - Participates in company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., salary review, stock renewal, workforce planning, and organizational change).
